The Noble Search – Ariyapariyesana Sutra
This talk is based on the sutta ‘The Noble Search’, which describes what the spiritual quest is about – the search for the ‘supreme security from bondage, Nibbana’ – unborn, unageing, unailing, deathless, sorrowless and undefiled.
The Buddha recounts how he left home, studied under two great meditation teachers, and practised severe austerities before finally discovering the path to enlightenement.
